As the new life pushes aside the old and spring emerges from a long winters nap. New beginnings and a promise of new life as the sun warms up the earth once again.
This plate is made using 10 layers of glass, firing it in the kiln and slicing it open with a diamond cutting wheel. Each slice creates the size of the plate. The piece is fired in the kiln two more times and the last one shapes the piece into an open faced plate with gentle upturned edges. A pleasing piece to the eye.
